Description: Chrysanthemums, often called mums, are perennial flowering plants native to Asia. The flower is picked, dried, and pressed in with the tea to produce an acorn-sized nugget called a tuocha. This tea is very popular in Hong Kong. These tuo cha are special in that they have been aged since the 1990s.
One nugget will produce about one liter of tea through multiple steepings. This elegant tasting tea offers a touch of spring from the mild, calming essence the flower adds to the earthy, rich Pu-erh.
Aged more than ten years, this is a rare opportunity to taste an authentic 1990's tuo cha, and at a very reasonable price point.
All Bon Teavant puerh teas have been stored properly, in a cool, dark environment with free flowing air and away from odors such as foods or fragrances of any kind.
