Puerh Sampler-Green Cakes/Multiple Merchants:
1. Phoenix Collection Camoflage Cake: This engaging 2006 green puerh cake from Nannuo Mountain was hand harvested from old trees and processed under the direction of David Lee Hoffman. Young yet forgiving, this is a great cake for beginners. To Brew: 4 g. tea at 185-195ºF for 30 seconds in 6 oz. of water.*
2. Imperial Tea Court Vintage Organic Green Puerh Cake: This large-leaf (Da Ye) tea was cooked thoroughly by pan firing, then sun-dried, steamed and pressed into a Bing Cha. This is a fruity tea with a well-rounded mouth feel and a gentle wisp of smokiness and sweetness that are the hallmarks of Yunnan teas. Suitable for long-term aging. To Brew: 4 g. of leaf, steeped at 180ºF for 1 minute in 6 oz. water.*
3. Pure Puer Tea Gu-Hua "Rice Pollen" Green Puerh Cake: In the frosty autumn after the rice flowers have bloomed in Feng Qing, the leaves are harvested from old and ancient trees. The flower pollen dusts the trees, giving the tea a clean, rch aroma. The tea has a golden-yellow color, a smooth, slightly bitter flavor with sweet after taste. This is an excellent tea for aging and collecting. To Brew: 4 g. of leaf steeped at 185ºF for 10-30 seconds in 6 oz. water.*
Samples provide two servings of each tea. *Increase steeping time with subsequent steepings.
