taiwan wild leaf sampler
Taste two Taiwanese teas from the same wild trees, but processed in different ways. These two exceptional teas were made from a Wuyi varietal that was brought from China to Taiwan more than a hundred years ago, and left to grow wild. One tea is processed and the other is un-dried and left in its raw state.
1. Tillerman Tea Formosa Yancha: Roasted chocolatey notes emerge from this fabulous and rare tea made from an old wild tea tree and processed traditionally.
2. Tillerman Tea Wild Leaf Formosa White: This wild leaf white tea is the unprocessed brother to the Formosa Yancha with a taste profile that is reminiscent of a Yunnan green.
3. Full 8+ minute audio interview with David Campbell, owner of Tillerman Tea.
If you want to learn what processing does to a tea or to try two rare Taiwanese wild tree teas, this is your opportunity.
